ABOUT US!
AIMS
The aim of the Echuca - Moama Family History Group is to encourage and support all members in tracing their ancestors and to encourage and promote an interest in genealogy in a social enviroment.
We offer:
LOCATION
Situated in the historic Murray Hotel, 9 Murray Esplanade, Echuca, in Northern Victoria, Australia. Murray Hotel is located on the Port of Echuca precinct.
ACCESS
The Group room is open:
During these times a member is on duty to answer questions and to make suggestions about where to look.
Non-members are always welcome. It is asked that they make a small donation to use the room.
Members can access the room at any time during business hours by producing their current membership card to Reception of MURRAY RIVER PADDLESTEAMERS, 57 Murray Esplanade Echuca, opposite the log buggy outside 'Oscar W'. Confirmation of opening times and access outside these hours can be arranged by contacting Pearl Collins on 03 54 821139 or by contacting the Group.
The Group room holds our library and computers.
LIBRARY
We have a comprehensive library of books, CD's & Fiche. There are also computers available for members' use.
We have our own publications for sale and a research service of local records. The service includes the records listed on our library holdings page. Please read here for detailed research information!
MEETINGS
General meetings are held in the Senior Citizen Room / Community Health Centre, Martin Street, Moama NSW:All members are encouraged to attend. Meetings often feature a guest speaker.
MEMBERSHIP
Single Membership:- AU$30.00.
Family Membership:- AU$40.00.
Associate (or Away) Membership:- AU$15.00.Individual and family members have full membership rights which include meetings, quarterly newsletter, listing research information on the EMFHG website under Members Interests and unlimited access to an increasing and varied research material including microfiche, books and cd's that can be used on site. Some books are also available for borrowing.
Away or Associate membership entitles the card holder to the four newsletters and two research queries per year.
