In 2018 Stawell Historical Society recognised the need to
preserve memories from our older residents.
It was then decided that we
would approach some of these older residents and ask them if they would
be willing to
participate in a sit down video interview.
We are indeed
fortunate that seven people agreed to this request, we also approached
Stawell Secondary College
to see if any of the Year 11 students would
be willing to act as the interviewers of which three students
agreed to
participate in this venture. Thank you to Isobel Skene, Liam Stewart and Sophie MacKenzie.
The following seven people freely gave us their memories of earlier
years and we wish to thank them for their generous participation, along
with Eventide Homes of Stawell and the students of Stawell Secondary
College.
