The Frances Quinn Arts Encouragement Award is presented to an outstanding, talented 1st year music student at the Victorian College of the Arts, School of Music. The award is presented in honour of Frances Quinn who was a member of the Zonta Club of Melbourne Yarra. |

In 2007 the club sponsored a project aimed at increasing the self-worth of women at Tarrengower Women's Prison, joining forces with Melbourne City Mission to deliver the program designed to stretch the imagination and boost self-esteem. |

This award encourages young women students aged 16 - 20 years to consider careers in public affairs, public policy and community organisations. In 2002, the recipient of the Club's award, Abigail Ogada-Osir (left), was also a recipient of the Zonta International Award. |
