Melbourne City Mission: Tarrengower Project

Kerry is a best selling novelist, best known for the Phryne Fisher series of books.  She discussed the trials and tribulations of becoming a published writer.

Project workers shared stories of the self esteem project which assists women to make long term lifestyle changes post release from prison.

…  gave an insight into the issues facing those who die unexpectedly without wills or estate planning  and show how we can plan for our future

An interesting and informative breakfast seminar was  held at the Amora Riverwalk Hotel, presented by the Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra on Saturday 22nd August 2009.

Funds raised will support Zonta International projects and MCM’s Tarrengower Project.

This seminar was the second of an annual series, aimed at providing members, guests and members of the public to receive useful, thought-provoking information in an entertaining format. A relaxed atmosphere, delicious breakfast and excellent speakers….watch this space for information about upcoming events!

The 2009 Frances Quinn Arts Encouragement Award will be presented to this year’s winner on Sunday 4th October at a concert being held at Federation Hall, Victorian College of the Arts.

A concert program is in place with an opportunity to hear our winner perform. Also performing will be our 2007 Award winner, Ursula Paez, a mezzo-soprano.
