Assigning Birds to a Class

Birds with multiple mutations are placed into the highest class number for the mutations they display for example a Slate bird is placed in Class 3. A Blackfront Slate is placed in Class 12. A Pied Blackfront Slate is placed in Class 18. A Yellowbill Pied Blackfront Slate is placed in Class 21. A Red Yellowbill Pied Blackfront Slate is placed in Class 25.

Club Show Rules

  1. Birds must have a club ring registered to the exhibitor.
  2. Birds may carry an additional ring.
  3. Birds are to be displayed in a finch show cage.
  4. Cages are to be black on the outside and white on the inside. No distinguishing marks are to be visible.

Annual Show Rules

In order to allow non-members to display birds and provide the opportunity for as wide a variety of Zebra Finches as possible to be displayed the club's 2010 annual show will be an Open Show. The following rules will apply.
  1. Birds need not have been breed by the exhibitor.
  2. Birds need not have a club ring.
  3. Birds may carry a club ring and an additional ring.
  4. Birds are to be displayed in a finch show cage.
  5. Cage floors are to be covered with finch mix seed.
  6. Cages are to be black on the outside and white on the inside. No distinguishing marks are to be visible.
People requiring finch show cages can contact the Secretary regarding hiring or purchasing of show cages.
