STUD BOOKS

The club purchased a flock of high quality greys and fawns so that members could replace their stock birds and use these stud birds for outcrossing to other mutations.

The club maintains a stud book to minimise inbreeding of these birds and so that members can be assured that that birds they purchase do not contain recessive genes for unexpected mutations.

The pedigree for these birds can be viewed from the side menu. Birds are identified by a six digit number. The first two numbers are the year of the band, the other four are the band number.
