Yarra Plenty is a swimming club located in Greensborough a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia

History

The Yarra Plenty Swimming Club is based at the H. Norman Indoor Pool in Liat Way Greensborough (Melway Map 20 H5).  The swimming club and the associated swim school (Yarra Swim School) lease the pool from the Banyule Council and use this pool and the attached club rooms for the majority of its training. At particular times of the year we use outside facilities - Greensborough LC pool and the MSAC pool - to train for long course meets.

The Yarra Plenty Swimming Club was previously known as the Balwyn/Yarra Swimming Club.  This club evolved in the early 1980's through the amalgamation of the North Balwyn and Yarra Clubs and established its base at the H. Norman Indoor Pool, which was then part of the former Watsonia High School, in 1985.

In 1992 the members voted to change to the existing name in order to reflect an affiliation with the area in which it is located and represents, thus the Yarra Plenty Swimming Club began.

Swimmers of all ages and capabilities are welcomed and offered a variety of aquatic activities including club activities, competitions, and aggregate teams.

Club members' achievements range from representing Metro North District to inclusion in State squads and at State and National Championships.
