YHA WATERSKI CLUB

Waterskiing is held every weekend from the beginning of November to the end of April each year, including the Christmas/New Year break, long weekends and Easter.

LOCATION

Our venue for waterskiing is Lake Bullen Merri, approximately 6km from Camperdown in Victoria's Western District. From Melbourne, follow the Princes Highway through Geelong and Colac to Camperdown, 195km from Melbourne.

Weekend package: includes 2 nights accommodation, and 4 lessons per day.

TRANSPORT

Transport arrangements are up to you. You may drive, share a lift or catch public transport.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is fully serviced at the Cascade Motor Inn.

EQUIPMENT

We ski behind a Stejcraft speed boat, powered by a 350 Chev engine. Double and slalom skis, suitable for the beginner and advanced skier are provided, along with trick skis, wake boards, buoyancy vests and wetsuits. Modified equipment is available for people with disabilities.

ITINERARY

Friday Evening:
Arrive at Camperdown and book into the Cascade Motor Inn.
Saturday:
Skiers drive to Lake Bullen Merri where dry land instruction will be given. After this it's in the water for skiing. Basic to advanced techniques are discussed. Skiers either take their lunch to the lake or drive back to Camperdown. On Saturday evening we can have a meal as a group at a local pub or have a BBQ at the Motel.
Sunday:
In the morning skiers continue to develop waterskiing skills and in the afternoon it's goodbye to a fabulous weekend and time to head home.

WATERSKI LEADERS

The waterski weekend is run by a minimum of three leaders to a maximum of fourteen skiers.
