Trip Grades

Ski trips are graded as follows:

Easy - Suitable for people who have never skied 'cross country' style before. Skiing is on groomed trails with gentle slopes. Some instruction may be possible depending on type of trip, group composition and circumstances.
Medium - Some experience and skill required. You should be able to execute basic snowplough turns and stops. Skiing backcountry or on groomed trails, with steeper slopes and more varied terrain.
Hard - For the fit and experienced. Must be able to travel for at least a full day over varied terrain, with varied snow conditions, and be competent off trail. The trip may include carrying a heavy pack and/or traversing steep terrain.

New members are always welcome but it is suggested that you contact the trip leader to discuss your skiing ability before booking on a trip. Beginners should first ski with us on one of our beginner trips.
