Young people are Rooting for a Republic in the lead up to the Referendum on November 6.
Young people took to the streets this morning handing out condoms to encourage commuters to practice safe constitutional change and vote YES! in November's Referendum.
"Young Australians are overwhelmingly pro-republic but have been bored by the debate," said Peter Sagar, 23, Young Australians for a Republic Spokesperson.
"The republican debate has been dominated by baby boomers in business suits, and it is time to let young people debate the issues in our own language.
"We want to show that young Australians support the YES! vote and can have some fun in the process. Who says constitutional debate has to be stuffy and conservative?" said Peter Sagar.
