[ not turnbull's republic ] Young re-PUB-lican 's will kick start their campaign tonight with the launch of Young Australians for a Republic (YAR) in South Australia. The Launch, followed by a Pub crawl is the beginnings of the youth campaign for the republic in SA.
The State Convenor of YAR, Ms Marni Curtis, said today "This is not a republic for Malcolm Turnbull. It is not the Republic of the rich or wealthly. This republic is for the future of Australia, and the Youth are Australia's future."
These sentiments were echoed by the YAR Campaign Manager Mr Nathan Paine, who said "The youth vote cannot be taken for granted - Young Australians need to be reassured that this is a positive step forward for their future".
The Launch will take place from 7:30 pm at the Crown and Anchor, attended by many young republicans, including Michelle Lensink, the Liberal Party Vice President in South Australia, and Ms Mia Handshin, well known youth advocate.
