On February 6 and 7, 1999, the National Convention of Republicans was held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra. YAR was fortunate enough to be asked to give an hour long presentation about youth issues at the forthcoming referendum.
The speeches presented by YAR were:

Ryan Heath [NSW]: Pat us on the backs, and not on the heads.
Sandy Pitcher [ACT]: Don't censor us!
