The Yarram & District Historical Society, is currently building their new rooms. It is situated on the corner of Rodgers & Station Street Yarram. Watch this space for the opening.

The research material is still available for use by appointment.

The Society has many items of historical interest, an extensive archive of local district history, ephemera and other memorabilia covering the Old Alberton Shire.

Where is Yarram?

Yarram is located on the South Gippsland Highway approximately 250 km south-east of Melbourne. Yarram includes the tourist and fishing hamlets of Port Albert, Port Welshpool, Woodside and McLoughlin's Beach and Tarra Valley National Park.
