Yarragon Fire Brigade 

The Yarragon Urban Fire Brigade was formed in 1944, on the 13th of August 1946 a public meeting was held to form a rural brigade and was then called the Yarragon & District Rural Bush Fire Brigade, with the headquarters at Yarragon and covering the area of Yarragon, Yarragon South, Shady Creek and Allambee.

The Yarragon Fire Brigade is a part of the Country Fire Authority in Region 9 and is associated with the Narracan Group of Fire Brigades and the Victorian Urban Fire Brigades Association.

Yarragon is a small country town located about 1 hour east of Dandenong that mainly supports the dairy industry
