Deltora Quest is intriguing. Once you start the book you cannot put it down. It is about a boy called Lief who goes on a quest to find the missing gems of Deltora. They used to be on a belt but one day they were taken by seven Ak-Baba, large birds like vultures. Gradually Lief goes to places to find all seven gems of Deltora. He goes to places like: The Forests of Silence, The Lake of Tears, The City of the Rats, The Shifting Sands, The Maze of Beasts, to a guardian and a couple more places. It has been my favourite series that I have read and you should try the series. It is a great book if you like adventure books.

I think that Deltora Quest is a good book for many ages and there are two series and one still to come. It is about a belt with magical gems from around the country scattered for some one to discover them. It also has adventure fantasy.

I have just finished reading the last book in Deltora Quest 1. The books are so exiting that you just can’t put them down. The story is a big Quest for Lief, Barda and Jasmine. They are trying to find the seven gems that the evil Shadow Lord has hidden in dark and terrible places throughout the land. The Belt is all that can save the kingdom from the tyranny of the evil Shadow Lord.

This is an adventurous, exciting fantasy series. It is set in the magical world of Deltora where there are vicious beasts and evil sorcerers. I really liked this series because it takes you into a world where you can slay dragons and fight evil sorcerers. The author, Emily Rodda, puts a realistic touch to the story with danger, despair, joy and anger. I give this series eight and a half out of ten.

When the belt of Deltora is taken by the evil shadow lord, the gems from the belt are scattered in every dangerous place there is! When Lief is sent to find the gems with a family friend called Barda, they have a lot of close encounters, amazing adventures and thousands of terrible things happen back in Deltora! I think that these books were very enjoyable. I just couldn't put them down. When I started Book 1, I immediately read Book 2 and so on, instead of reading others in-between them.

The books were really brilliant,
and most exciting too.
I know that I can recommend,
This set of books to you!

I recommend this book to people of all ages. Congratulations Emily Rodda on yet another series well done! I liked this book because it was highly original, and easy to read. Just when you'd thought you'd read it all. All contents of the books were original and mind-catching. Plus the weird twists. I liked this series, and I hope Emily Rodda will continue to write book after book after book.
