Douglas B. Ec. (Latrobe),
F.R.S.A. Chairman of W.V.U3A C. Went on the land at 17,
first as a dairy farmer and later as a cattle breeder.
Turned a hobby of writing into his largest source of income
then went to University at 45. Other activities include
working on half a dozen governmental advisory and steering
committees, thirty years with rural fire brigades, and
activity in numerous other community and special interest
groups before joining the U3A in 1990.

Val Toomey Joint Course Co-odinator for Stawell U3A for
3 years, tutor for Oil Painting 2 years. Committee member of
Western Victoria U3A Cluster since its inception and Treasurer
for the Cluster. Personal interests include - genealogy,
painting, gardening, travel, reading (especially fantasy!),
history, U3A and family! Born in Wales, married in Kenya 46
years ago, came to Australia in 1961. 4 children, 8
grandchildren, llive on a family vineyard near Great Western. |

Lois Wade After a short time spent with
Wangaratta U3A, Lois joined U3A Geelong in 1995 and was
elected to the Committee of Management in 1998. Her current
position is that of President and she also is the
Convenor of the Strategic Planning and Social Sub-Committees,
is Co-ordinator of Computer classes and takes part in various
other Sub-Committees.
