2011 Schedule

The meeting point for all activities is at the Orchard Grove car park. (Melways Ref: 61 J3) All members of the local community are welcome to attend any activity. Morning / Afternoon Teas are provided.

We need as many helpers as possible and new Friends of Wurundjeri Walk are made most welcome. So please come along, bring your family and friends. Make new friends from the local community who share a common interest in putting something back for Blackburn South and the environment!

What's happening in 2011?

  • Our group is now undertaking regular water quality testing and bird monitoring activities
  • Areas around the new Rain Garden will be weeded and planting added
  • Many of the existing planted areas will be re-mulched and planting added
  • Weed management activities will be held in coordination with the City of Whitehorse
  • WWAC also conduct clean-up activities
