The Great Battles of World War II system (produced by the Canadian Wargamers Group) is a set of miniatures rules and scenarios. They are designed to simulate combat in World War II at the operational level. A single stand of infantry or tanks represents one company, an inch on the game table represents about 200 yards on the actual battlefield and a single turn of the game can represent anywhere between 15 minutes and 4 hours of real time. As you might expect, and was the case in real life, most battles last for more than a day or two and can include the effects of changing deployment, reinforcements and other such matters that were so important yet so rarely seen on the wargames table.
If you want to get a better understanding of these rules take a look at the links below. This page exists to collect together the scenarios I have designed for use with this system of miniatures wargames rules.

The Battle for Salerno is over. The Wehrmacht is withdrawing to the Gustav line, but is determined to make the allies pay for every inch of ground. Every ridge line and river is defended. To cross the River Biferno line, Montgomery has decided to use his few landing craft to turn its seaward flank
The Wehrmacht has resumed its final drive on Moscow. The 4th Panzer Division has been ordered to open the road to Tula, but first they must breakout of their bridgehead across the river Zusha at Mtzensk.
Operation Bluecoat 2 - 6 August 1944
After weeks of hard fighting, the Americans launched their long awaited offensive (Cobra) on July 25th and broke through the German front around the Normandy bridgehead. Having closed down Operation Goodwood on July 1st, Montgomery has shifted the weight of the British 2nd Army towards his right flank next to the Americans.
I have made an EXCEL 97 spreadsheet that lists the number of stands of each type for all the Great Battles of World War Two scenarios that I can find. It includes those from the original Canadians in Europe book, from Dropzone, the two secnarios from the Canadian Wargames Journal and the scenarios that I have created for this web page. It also includes the maximum number of stands of each type required to play any existing scenario. It is available for downloading by clicking on the picture. It contains no macros and was virus free when uploaded.
I have had cause to ask Bruce McFarlane (the rules designer) a few questions over the past few months regarding some of the finer points of the GBWWII system. His comments and answers to my questions can be found on the following link.
