The 2008/9 season is nearly here, are you ready?

The club has several Pacers and Mirrors that are used for training and are leased during the season.
In previous years some of these boats have been used by members on an ad hoc basis for Saturday sailing.

To facilitate a fair approach to members use of these boats we are introducing a formalized procedure for using the club yachts. This season leased club yachts may be available for members use on race days if the yearly lease holder does not attend on the day.
A daily leasing charge of $10 for a Mirrors and $20 for a Pacer will apply.

Any member wishing to avail themselves of these boats must seek approval from the Commodore or the chair of the sailing committee on the day and pay the required fees. A daily leasing form must be completed prior to sailing, these will be made available.

In another change for next season we will be mailing reminders to members who are scheduled for race duties. As well as a reminder you will receive a more detailed set of guidelines for the Officer of the day duties.

Lois Fitzgerald has kindly agreed to coordinate this. There will also be a requirement for the officer of the day to crew on the committee or rescue boats.
The duty crew may be able to sail if sufficient volunteers are available to meet all our rescue requirements.
