The Exford Weir draws its name from one of the early names for the Werribee River. It is operated by Southern Rural Water as one of the main water storages of the Werribee River catchment. The main purpose of the Weir is to maintain a constant supply of water to the market gardens of the Werribee Irrigation District.
The Weir also offers excellent boating, water skiing and picnic facilities.
Other Notes- The picnic area comes equiped with a children's playground.
- The Speedboat Club regularly holds boat racing events.
