In part the lack of action here is due to a lack of free time, in particular editing the Mallacoota Mouth. When compared to this time last year, those three days take a chunk out of my week
 
At best, the Mouth is a rushed job, with the final pages often being prepared with one of the volunteer printers breathing down my neck!
 
Proofreading can be limited and spell checkers can lull you into a false sense of security.
 
The following paragraph got past me, got past my proofreader and was picked up by one of our aforementioned volunteer printers. It is such a howler it is almost a shame that he noticed it!
