What do the club members do?

The club members aim to encourage and foster the love of natural timber and woodworking skills among its members and in the general community.

We make "things" from wood. We make model ships and trucks and cars. We turn scrap timber (and "good" timber too!) into wonderful bowls, pens, candlesticks, clocks and many other useful articles that clutter up our sheds and houses, and elicit comments from the family at present giving time such as "Oh No! Not ANOTHER bowl Dad!", or from our long suffering partners "Where will I put THIS one?"

Several special interest groups meet at various member's workshops to carry out specific projects.

For example a group of model ship builders meet twice a month to get expert guidance and help with the particular models on which they are working. Other groups make folding picnic tables, rocking chairs, and in addition, learn various aspects of metal working and a whole host of other widely varied activities
.
We encourage fellowship among our members.

We learn skills from each other and share our knowledge.

We enjoy life.
