To increase the level of involvement of women in the martial arts and in
self defence training.

To be open to women who are training in or teaching a martial art/s or
self defence course/s or have done so in the past.

To represent the broad range of martial arts, self defence approaches and
skill levels.

To encourage information exchange related to the martial arts and self

To foster the participation and welfare of women in the martial arts and
self defence training.

To raise the profile and to increase the awareness of women's participation
in martial arts and self defence training in sport and recreation.

To encourage and support research into martial arts and self defence for
women.

To develop standards and curricula in women's self defence training.

To promote a non-violent attitude within the martial arts.

To increase awareness/understanding of discrimination and violence against
women.

To reduce the incidence of all forms of discrimination and violence against
women.
