      Uniforms
   

For regular Weekly Competition each club has it's own uniform as outlined below.

Shorts for normal competition are not permitted to have a logo.
Socks must be ankle or short socks. Bike shorts can be used for Centre competition days but are not permitted to be worn as part of the Centre Uniform (The Centre uniform is used at Region and State Events). Bike shorts and shorts must be at least 10 cm above the knee with no logos.

Club shirts are available for sale from each Club, and shorts (without a logo) can purchased from the club or the centre.  Williamstown Little Athletics Centre track suits are available by contacting Heather at Topline on 0409 173 334. Topline make a donation back to centre for each track suit sold.

Registration tags with a registration number must be worn by all registered athletes, a temporary sticker with name age group and registration number will be supplied by clubs if the registration tag is left at home.
Children are not allowed to compete in bare feet or socks for safety reasons.

Approved Spiked sole footwear can only be worn by children in the U/12 and Open age groups, (the approved length of spike is up to 7mm, only conical or christmas tree style are allowed click here to view examples) at laned events, Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump on the condition that any child found to be using the spikes in a manner likely to cause injury to any other competitor, same child to be banned from wearing spikes for the remainder of the season. Normal footwear is to be worn to and from these events and at all other times.. Spiked shoes with spikes removed or missing must not be worn as they damage the surface of the track.

 

External Events

Williamstown Little Athletics Centre has it’s own uniform which must be worn when competing at all Regional and State competitions including Relays, Cross Country, Track and Field and Multi Event.  The correct uniform must be worn and consists of Royal Blue singlet top with Yellow diagonal stripe and Royal Blue shorts (with no logos ie Nike or Buffalo)or Bloomers (bike shorts cannot be worn at external events).

Centre Uniforms can be hired to competing Athletes.  If Athletes have progressed though to State Events, uniforms may be kept until after that event but they must be returned as soon as practical after the event.

If you choose to purchase a Centre Singlet the cost of it will be $50 and you may exchange it for a bigger one at no extra cost.

All Athletes must obtain a Centre Uniform for all external events from the Centre Team Manager the Assistant Team Manager no later than  two(2) weeks prior to competition - no Centre Uniforms will be taken to external events, if Athletes do not have a Uniform they will be unable to compete.
