- Apart from my
book, “The Wheelie's Handbook of Australia", which is
the best available of its kind (I have to say that of course, because
this is my web page!), there are other books which specialise in
listing accessible accommodation, tourism items and other information
of value to disabled travelers. These include “Easy Access” (a
book by Bruce Cameron). His Website is at
avoca.vicnet.net.au/~bruceeaa/.

- An excellent
new book called “With The Sea On Our Right… an Epic Australian
Journey” written and illustrated by Carolyn Slade, which tells the
story and lists dozens of wheelchair friendly caravan parks, resorts
and roadside amenities visited by Carolyn and her husband Doug (a
wheelie) as they traveled around our great land. It's a great read, so
get all details through Carolyn at
docasl@tpg.com.au.
Most disability groups have their own magazines and newsletters which
give worthwhile information for their members, but I can personally
recommend the following as being really good value. I suggest that you
subscribe for a trial period (even if you are not a member) and I'm
sure you'll agree…
