Under 14 Boys 2,000m Walk

Queensland's Brad Aiton had a great win over the NSW trio of Steven Washburn, Nathan Fazldad and Mathew Killen.
Victoria's Ben Maskell and aaron Gardiner were next to finish ahead of lone South Australian Daniel Crouch.

Under 14 Girls 2,000m Walk

Very close competition between the girls with Amy Bettiol(NSW) eventually crossing the line first ahead of Caitlin Campbell(Vic) and Ebony Whiley(Bendigo).
It was the second year that Amy has won this event and Caitlin has improved enormously over the last 12 months.
Local girl Elizabeth Hosking just edged out Lotta Danner for fourth place with Bianca Attard(Vic) next.

Under 16 Boys 3,000m Walk

Another win for Queensland as Dane Bird-Smith had a great walk to beat Blake Steele(SA).
Brad Aiton doubling up finished a strong third again ahead of Steven Washburn followed by the Victorian pair of Brad Simpson and Robert Walsh.
John Hallam was next and secured the team win for Queensland.

Under 16 Girls 3,000m Walk

Rachael Tallent(Vic) and Kristie Goznik(SA) had a close contest all the way through the race with Rachael holding a slender lead to the finish.
The NSW walkers Amy Bettiol and Shay Southern battled away for third place. Next across the line were Victorians Hilary Brazel and Amy Callaway.

Under 18 Boys 5,000m Walk

Young Dane Bird-Smith(Qld) posted his second win of the day with a stong walk to beat home Kyle Malone(NSW).
Michael Reading(ACT) just held off a spirited effort by James Pisani(NSW). Jordan Mulhearn(NSW) and Brandon Dewar(Qld) had their own little contest
and with Kai Maruta(NSW) following them across the finish line it gave NSW another team win.

Under 18 Girls 5,000m Walk

The tall figure of Melissa Hayes at full stride is great to watch as she not only won this event but she also finiched third in the Open Women's 5,000m event.
Shannon Jennings(NSW) was second from the Victorian trio of Natalie Laurie, Rachael Tallent and Caitlin Campbell. Lauren Bourke's(NSW) sixth place finish
was enough to secure NSW team win over the Victorians.
