Volunteers at work at the Local & Family History Resource Centre.

The Local & Family History Resource Centre operated by the Woodend & District Heritage Society relies for its operation on the efforts of a large band of volunteer workers. Indexing of the vast collection is an ongoing task and in this photograph volunteers are seen entering material onto some of the many computers which we operate. Computers also provide instant access to the holdings. Six microfilm readers and other records on cd rom and microfiche are also on hand to assist those researchers who are able to visit the centre to carry out their own research.
