The beginnings of Bungalook Nursery
WCIPP relocated to a new site,
within Wurundjeri Walk, 63/107 Fulton Rd., Blackburn South. This site features a large work area shed for propagation tasks, an office
with tea room, an igloo & shadehouse plus many other 'mod-cons' .

12/02/2001 - Turning of the first sod - WCIPP, Council Officer &
Contractors and the machinery....

6/02/01 - site levelled and services (eg. water, sewerage, power) laid underground
23/02/01 - fence posts erected.
26/02/01 - black wire added to the fence, double gates at the
front and a single gate in rear corner
01/03/01 & 02/03/01 - the work shed delivered and
construction begun
06/03/01 - the igloo and shadehouse under construction plus the shed,
with windows and a view looking down over the site.
11/03/01 - the igloo and shadehouse completed.
13/03/01 - work shed completed and cedar office delivered and staining commenced

16/03/01 - Disabled Toilet built in work shed and the floor
fitted to office
19/03/01 - Site visit, construction of cedar office nearly completed.
23/03/01 - The interior of the cedar office completed.
26/03/01 - The ramp for the cedar office built.
22/06/01 - The sewer finally connected.
27/07/01 - First attendance day at our new nursery
Buffer zone planting project -
This project was funded by Bushcare - a program of the Commonwealth
Government's Natural Heritage Trust
07/04/01 - Working Bee - Buffer zone STAGE.1
A large turn out of volunteers from our bushland park committees came to help
with the planting of the buffer zone and the staining of the cedar office.
It was a great day, Thanks to them all.

09/05/01 - Working Bee - Buffer zone STAGE.2
A mid week event, another large turnout with visitors from Queensland helping
with the planting - our volunteer painters give the cedar office a second
stain. A neighbour comes to enquire on the work we are doing, he turns out
to be another visitor from interstate. Well done to everyone.

was a wet Spring day - but the rain was very welcome.

Students doing horticultural courses are able to do their
required Work Experience hours with WCIPP (as a volunteer), we
have qualified horticulturalists who have passed courses using
the hours volunteered at WCIPP for their course.
Watering System
An automated watering system was approved by the Committee at the February
2002 meeting. Official installation preparation works started in early
March.
