Logo of Warringal Conservation Society Welcome to the Warringal Conservation Society, a local not-for-profit, community based organisation caring for the environment in Banyule. Formed in 1970, the Society is an active and productive steward of the enviromental heritage in Banyule.

Everyone is invited to our monthly general meetings. The meetings are held the first Thursday evening of each month and consist of reports, a guest speaker and general business. Our next planting will be May 1st. Its a combined planting with BOCA (Bird Observers Club of Victoria) to celebrate their Centenary year. Check the events on this month.

Conservation of Macquarie Island native fauna

Guest Speaker Dr Rohan Clarke
Dr Clarke will speak about the conservation of native birds and animals on Macquarie Island. Feral animals such as cats have been destroyed, but the program needs to continue to get rid of rats etc.
