• Cherry Street Grasslands. These are in Macleod between YMCA and the Springthorpe Estate.

• Climate Action Network Australia It provides information on projects/actions dealing with climate change. It gives good information relating to progress (or lack thereof) on the Kyoto Protocol.
  
• Field Naturalis Club of Victoria The FNCV is a vigorous and practical advocate of conservation and the study of natural history to this day. The club publishes 'The Victoria Naturalist' and arranges meetings, excursions and has ongoing research. Over 900 members!
