Billy Cart Derby

9:30am Sunday 25 March 2007 (registration 8:30-9:15)

Police Street

The Billy Cart race is held every year on the Sunday of the festival. Kids spend months designing and building carts to race down Forbes St, outside the police station.

The race is open to children 8 - 16 years old, who have a home made cart (no go-carts) with a maximum wheel size of 16". The carts must have no devices to aid starting or propulsion, and all drivers must wear full-face helmets and gloves.

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Best Cart and Best Effort on the day. There is also a race for the parents.
