This is the Free World Building in Saigon, it was the Headquarters for the Australian Forces in South Vietnam. |

These pictures were taken in Cholon a suburb of Saigon after the May Offensive 1969 Pic 1. The building on the left was a 3 storey block of flats that had been taken over by the Viet Cong (VC). Pic 2. Was a residential area that unfortunately had been overrun by the VC. Many business and homes were totally destroyed during the Tet Offensive of 67 and the May offensive of 1968. |

This vehicle was parked next to a building that was hit by rockets during the May Offensive and intense heat from the ensuing fire melted the steering wheel. |
