Volunteer Code of Conduct (7/06/01)

Let everyone have it and the world would be a better place.

“I have just read the draft copy of the Code and I must say that this list of behavioural ideals should be passed on to all organisations not only the CFA. If all people no matter what race, colour, religion, gender or beliefs adhered to these values, wouldn’t this world be different!”
Mark Lane, Captain, Macclesfield Fire Brigade.

Congratulations!

“Congratulations on the Volunteer Code of Conduct. It has been well received at Badger Creek. We support the concept and key principles as it currently stands. Lets hope that the CFA regard the volunteers in the same light? The next question might be how to get the document out there and make people own it.”
Peter Broman, Secretary, Badgers Creek Fire Brigade.

Encompasses Spirit and Culture of CFA in Positive Way!

“I have read the draft Code and participated in a workshop. I am really pleased with the final draft version. I think that this encompasses the spirit and culture of the CFA in a positive and constructive way. I think the next part of this process is to provide options and guidance for people who believe that they have observed behaviour that is not along the lines of the Code.”
Helen Hickson, Member, Woodvale Fire Brigade.

Vision and Guidance!

“Congratulations on a great document. The preamble is a vision which explains the commitment of experienced fire fighters and reflects on all volunteers. I believe this document will give guidance to those in the service who are unsure about how to conduct themselves. I fully support he concept and the key principles.”
Rod Carroll, Member, Mornington Fire Brigade.
