Here some models by VMRS members that won prizes at shows in 2003.

Frank won first prize at the AMRA show at Box Hill this year with his scratch built model of the SAR O class 2-8-0 loco of 1881. It is to 4mm scale and runs on 20mm gauge track. Trev's VR Y class to 3.5mm scale running on broad gauge (18.3mm) won best loco at Hobson's Bay. It is scratch built from brass. John built the model of Cross Grain and General Farm Supplies shed from card and wood. It is based on Wehl and Naylor's shed in the Stawell (Vic.) station yard. It won best structure at Hobson's Bay.
