Brown Coal Train

Geoff Watt, Chalmers' son informs us that the model of L1150 indeed still exists and is fully operational. Some of its interesting constructional features include:

  • flywheel-equipped twin counter-rotating motors (hand-wound),
  • ball-races fitted to motors and drive-train towers,
  • working coil-spring suspension & equalisation as per prototype,
  • operating pantographs
