Diane's storyHi, my name is Diane Stephens, I have been attending the wives group since the start, which was not long after I lost my husband in 2000. Len served in Vietnam 70/71 with R.A.E.M.E. 102/106 Field Workshops. I am one of a few widows in our group, and support from the other women has been fantastic. I know that if I am feeling down I can pick up the phone and someone will lend me an ear. We have all become extremely close, and in May a few of us (plus two couples) went to New Zealand. While there we attended a Vietnam Veteran's Convention, where we met Vets and there wives from other countries. A great time was had by all, so much so that a few of us will be going back in 2004. Our group is not structured and usually a good laugh is had by all. Everybody is welcome. Bye Diane. |
