Hello to my family and friends and those who found me by chance. This page has been compiled to inform you of  my art progress. Not being a young person any more, one can both reflect and look ahead with more confidence and with the benefit of life's experiences and hindsight.

I have always believed that an artist's skills equate to nothing unless he/she contributes definitive statements with their ability. Skills are purely a learnt or an inherited process, which to most artists is all they desire from life. Skill is a great tool but ones personal thoughts and convictions make a greater impact when embellished with ones interpretations through their chosen medium. I have explored the limits of most traditional mediums, as practiced by the conservative art community and spent many years teaching much of those principles. But I also discouraged the students from simply imitating past procedure when painting and encouraged them to follow their instincts. Just as there are many rules established and enforced in our society, so as not to impact negatively on others, there are as many rules enforced by the traditional art community to ensure that tradition continues without radical challenge. I was blessed with the foresight not to accept every point of view without looking at the alternative options. But be aware that one can easily become an outcast when bucking the system or establishment.

I have now stepped into the lesser known but exciting world of the digital medium. It will, no doubt, challenge traditional artists for years to come in order to be accepted as a legitimate medium. Not unlike photography did years ago. It is not photography and not dependant on the printed image alone. But is a completely unique medium with its own possibilities and limitations never the less. I have adopted the 3dimensional format to create most of my recent works, as it is not reliant, in any form on the photographic image as a source. It may surprise some people that in spite of the final illusion, the end result, is entirely created by the artist. I shall continue to explore and learn more of this highly stimulating medium for a long time to come, as it seems a long way to that next challenge.

3D Art is a visual concept and fast developing medium ... enjoy my images and interpret them any way you wish.
