As the name suggest, 1st West Waverley Koorunga Venturer Unit is made up of 2 units 1st West Waverley and Koorunga (who come from the groups 1st Waverley and 3rd/12th West Waverley). The two units have temporarily merged due to low venturer numbers in 1st West Waverley Venturer Unit and the fact that Koorunga Venturers cannot find a leader. The units merged in mid 2001. We currently have 17 venturers (8 1st West and 9 Koorunga) and 3 leaders (all 1st West).
Because we come from the two different units, we meet at different halls on a rotational basis. On our programme it will specify which hall, either 1st West or Koorunga. The hall locations are shown on the maps below. The blue dots represent the hall while the pink dots, traffic lights and the red marks shops.

We are attatched to two rover crews in the area - Tarlow Rovers and Alpha Theta Rovers. (You can access the Alpha Theta web page via our links page). We meet regularly with both rover crews.
1st West Waverley and Koorunga Venturer Units meet on a Friday night, usually between 7.30pm and 10.00pm. There are instances when we may meet earlier or finish later, such as when we visit the blood bank or on some outings. We also go away on weekends to branch activities, unit activities or courses (such as 1st Aid, Leadership, etc). Our fundraising activities too, are usually done outside normal Friday Night times.
