House Histories can be researched by the Brighton Historical Society. The fee charged is dependent on the complexity of research required. Resources consulted include:

• Our very rare 1871 'Maxwell' map of Brighton;
• 1903 to 1905 Board of Works maps of Brighton;
• Rate notices of the period;
• Postal directories;
• Historical assessments.
