Jobs Sheets Top

A list of the current activities planned by the VBAC as operational activities. This includes jobs and displays together with training courses where Abseil Leaders can attend. This list will include from time to time activities from the sub-teams within the state where additional resources to stage the activity are required.


VBAC Committee & Officials Top

A list of the VBAC Committee together with the current incumbent. This list includes all formal positions within the VBAC structure weather they be voted Committee Members or the appointed Training Team positions. This dual inclusion is provided as a reference to Abseil Leaders and Group/District/Regional/Zone or Branch Leader reference where expertise within the Abseiling Activity may be required.


Cliff Jumps Top

Each year the VBAC conducts a series of weekends where groups may experience traditional cliff based abseiling activities. This began as the Millennium Jumps and proved popular with the youth and leaders, as such we continue to bring This opportunity to Scouting members to expand on their experience and to attempt something new. The Cliff Jumps are in the format of both Basic and Advanced opportunities where simple and more complex cliff faces may be attempted dependent upon the section of youth and their collective abseiling experience.


Levels of Leaders Top

With the changes that have occurred within Scout Adventurous Activities, and Competency Based Training, the various levels of Abseil Leaders have undergone a series of changes. The title by which the various levels are known now reflect the National Standard based on that competency as does our training. This area denotes the current levels and the roles and responsibilities of these levels.


Unit History Top

A short background of what the VBAC is and the history of the activity unit.


VBAC Policy Top

The operational Policy of the VBAC. This is the current version of the policy as accepted and agreed too by the VBAC General Membership and Branch Headquarters.


VBAC Constitution Top

The current Constitution of the VBAC. This is the current version of the constitution as accepted and agreed too by the VBAC General Membership and Branch Headquarters. This is a complex document and denotes the range of activities and services that the VBAC may enter into together with the terms of membership and operation of the unit.

As the title suggests, This area contains a range of the commonly asked questions when people think about the VBAC and abseiling within Scouting, specifically that within Victoria.
