Participants Manual This page is the resource for the Participant (nee Assistant Abseiling Leader) Manual and includes any amendments made (refer to table for version and production details). This is provided as resource only to those who have undertaken an approved course of instruction and require updates. A CD-Rom of the Manual is available to registered Participants and Abseil Guides / Leaders upon request to the VBAC for a small production and handling charge. All other users may view the contents for educational or reference purposes only. No person should attempt any technique, activity or element contained within the manual without having undergone an approved course in Abseil Leadership and operate under the safety policies put in place. Abseiling can be a highly dangerous activity if undue care and expertise is not exercised which can lead to injury or death. The users of the information contained herein must acknowledge and accept that the contents are copyright and may not be reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior written approval of the VBAC. Additionally, users of the materials do so at their own risk and agree that no claim for liability, compensation, fault or blame may be made against the VBAC, Scouts Australia or its servant or agents, trainers, authors, Activity Leaders etc in regard to any use of, interpretation, mistake, omission, technique, method, description etc contained within this site and/or the manuals/modules contained herein. Note: This is the last update of the Participant Manual. The new release will contain all levels of leader compartmented for each level,remains a work in progress.
