FADS art space was established as a studio and shop in Kunitachi-Shi in 2000. The studios are rent free in exchange for the artists' organisation of exhibitions and the shop. Because the space plays a role of a studio, before playing the role af a commercial art gallery, it offers artists an exchange situation - studio space involvemnet in the administration of the space.

The space opens only on a weekend as most young artists have a job on weekdays, however the exhibitions run for one to two months to allow for maximum public access. A shop is attached to the space.

FADS art space aims to connect with both Japanese and International artists.
