Exhibition/Performance Locations
Global Fusion used two contrasting urban locations in Vienna as exhibition/performance spaces, reflecting the contrasts within the urban environments of Vienna and Melbourne. In addition the depot was used as a space for dialogue, exchange and performance during a two day forum titled Rapprochement - Working Conditions.

wienstation
Lerchenfelder Gürtel, Bogen 28, 1080 Wien. 8th District

wienstation is located under the arches as part of the Otto Wagner train ride, which now carries one part of the Viennese Underground line. A working and communication space for public art. Located under arches, which carry a train line, on the Gürtel (Belt- outer traffic ring), which forms the borderline between inner and outer Vienna. This reclaimed underpass of a railway station, is now a glassed archway, a transparent physical space, connecting the interior and exterior urban space. The transparency of the location is emphasised by projections, video installations, music collaborations and a communication space with regular workshops and discussions on current themes. International collaborations are a feature of this space. Through the glass facades of wienstation and the spatial concept of the architect Peter Rogl a transparency is created which makes visible the daily work of Transwien and encourages and invites communication and dialogue.
