Forster (Canada/UK) & Eva Brunner-Szabo (Austria) Flight-Flug-Flucht Andrew Forster (Canada) and Eva Brunner-Szabo (Austria) looked at each others work for intersections and overlaps in their interests. In order to accomodate the form of the publicity poster they decided on a simple strategy; to combine an image, or images, and text. They exchanged images and potential texts, eventually refining down to a single image (an unidentified archival image of migration) and a single text element (city names with prices). The piece (entitled flight-flug-flucht) juxtaposes two contemporary realities; human migration though necessity and the ubiquity of bargain travel. |
