CRICKET CLUB - FANTASY CRICKET
How to Join:
Simply grab an entry form from Benn Barratt, or from behind the bar,
pay your $10 entry fee and pick your team. Make sure you get you team
and money in early, as you will not score any points until payment is
received.
How to select your team:
You have a budget of $12,000 to select your team with. The pricing
sheet is available with the entry forms, along with how players scored
per game last season (NOTE - Any player not on the list is available at
a cost of $850). Be careful which position you select your players in,
as batsmen, all-rounders, keepers and bowlers all score points
differently. Each team must have 5 batsmen, 1 keeper, 2 all-rounders
& 3 bowlers.
Scoring:
Players are divided into 4 categories; batsman, bowler, all-rounder and
keeper. A description of how each player scores follows.
Batsman: 4 points
for every run. 5 points for each catch. No points for wickets. Plus all
additional bonus points (explained later)
Bowlers: No points
for runs. 40 points for each wicket. 5 points for each catch. Plus
bonus points
Keepers: 2 points
for every run. 25 points for every catch. 50 points for every
catchstumping. No points for wickets. Plus additional bonus points.
All-Rounders: 2
points for each run. 20 points for each wicket. 5 points for each
catch. Plus bonus points
Bonus Points: All
players are entitled to bonus points, regardless of what position they
are picked in… the bonus points are as follows. 5 points for each not
out. 50 points for each 50. 100 points for each 100. 50 points for each
5 wicket haul in an innings. 100 points for each 7 wicket haul in an
innings.
Prize Money: Prize
Money will comprise of 50% of the takings go to the winner, 30% to
second place and 20% will go to support the club
So that's pretty much it. The scores will be updated each round, and a
newsletter will be posted in the clubrooms (and hopefully on the
website). Good luck!
