convincing win over SA Churches

ATCA U-21 Captain Keagan English won the toss and
elected to bat in the 40 over match against the Churches Association Side at
Kilburn Oval.
There was an impressive batting display from the
opening pair of Keagan English (PAOC)and Michael Mills (Brahma Lodge) who were
0/78 at the 20 over drinks break. The partnership between the right handed
Mills – 86 not out and the left handed English – 145 not out, flourished,
taking the final score to a record 0/250 from 40 overs.
Not to be outdone by the record ATCA Under 21 opening
partnership, our bowlers were equally impressive. Opening bowler Jonathon
Roberts (Payenham) took 1/13 off 8 overs. Joe Speak (Unley) took an
impressive 5/4 off 7 overs - which included a hat-trick and almost a second
hat-trick. Rajith Premachandra (AHOS) took 2/9 off 6 overs. Sam
Gardham (Woodville Rechabite) and Kyle Adcock (Fulham) bowled straight and full
throughout the innings, rounding off an outstanding days play, with ATCA’s
bowling attack dismissing Churches for just 49 runs.
