President's Report

It is always gratifying to welcome back familiar faces to our new year of learning together and it is an additional pleasure to be able to greet new faces trying the various classes offered.

However, I must add that one of our stalwart members and the tutor for our Genealogy class, Mavis Marshall, gave us all a shock when we learned she had entered hospital for a quadruple bypass operation! We have showered her with cards and best wishes for her speedy recovery and are looking forward to seeing her back with us as soon as she feels really fit.

Along similar lines, can I just mention that two of our long-time Crafters, Phyllis McMillan and Faye McKenzie, have both battled recently with health problems but come each week, smiling and involved with the task at hand. I think they're both terrific!
