The Discovery Newsletter of the Third Age Learning Western region Footscray U3A
Presidents Report

Its time for us to look forward to the coming year in anticipation of another successful series of classes that we run. I know that all who attend our classes, do so to enjoy the subjects undertaken and also for the friendly atmosphere that pervades.

Our social outings and trips to locations like Warrnambool enhance our feeling of enlightenment in the great scheme of things. I am sure we all are looking forward to the next one. In this newsletter we have enclosed a questionnaire to determine the wishes of you our members of future social outings.

Finally, on behalf of myself and the Committee of management we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy 2006.

Things that get collected

People collect different things as either fund raisers or recyclables for important reasons. We found out that some of our members are such collectors.

Val and Arthur Greelish are collecting ring pull tabs and Yvonne Daws collects corks.

The ring pull tabs are made from titanium which can be recycled to make prosthetics and the corks go towards the funding at the zoo for the elephants.

Do you collect anything/ We would like to hear from you.
