The committee of management would like to welcome everyone back to U3A from the summer vacation. We hope that you had a well deserved rest and if you didn’t rest, we hope that you had a really good holiday.

Our clean up morning went very well and we would like to thank all those members who turned up to help.

Enrolment Day was a bit of a disappointment with only a small number of our members enrolling, which made the total number of members smaller than last year. However the number of members has grown slightly since then with both old and new members enrolling on the first day they attend.

We have had a bit of a setback to the start of our courses with the illness of our excellent tutor Christopher DARGAN, who runs the Ancient History, Current Affairs and Philosophy classes. Chris has let us know that he will return when he is better, but he is very greatly missed.

We wish Chris all the best wishes for a speedy recovery.

We would also like to thank Denise Doyle for her return to us for the Tuesday morning Ancient History class. Her lectures are well received.

Every member of our U3A can join and borrow books from the library at VU. You can do this by presenting your current U3A membership card upon application to join the library.
This could be a real aid to us all in applying the philosophy of
