>>>>> Triumph TR6s at Formula 1 Grand Prix <<<<<
A WORLD FIRST
On Sunday 2 April 2006 the TSOA triumphed again with the Triumph TR6 used on the Drivers' introduction to the crowd. Over 24 TR6s carried the Grand Prix drivers around the Albert Park circuit.
Pics of the day. The day was brighter than these pics suggest. This repeats our performances of 1999 with the sidescreen TRs and 2002 with Stags.

Activities TSOA Melbourne was renowned for its activities such as the "Six Hour Relay" and the "Luna Park Fancy Dress Ball". In line with other sporting clubs, the Melbourne Branch was subsequently incorporated and its name changed to reflect its membership throughout the State.

"TRaction" magazine, published monthly, is the life-line of the TSOA and keeps members informed about meetings, events, technical information and maintenance tips, plus buy/sell notices.

The club has a full calendar spread over the year covering competition events such as motorkhanas, hillclimbs and circuit sprints through more relaxed events such as early morning runs and social gatherings. The prime event in the year is the annual TSOA National Rallye which is held by each State branch of the TSOA on rotation. The 2006 National Rallye was hosted by SA. The 2007 Rallye will be hosted by TSOA Victoria. A national rallye typically runs over a week and comprises concours, quiet drives and for hot shoes, - the competition events. In 2005 TSOA Vic ran the Surrey Tasmania in which TSOA members from throughout Australia participated in a 7 day drive around the tourist routes of the Apple Isle. This usually takes in a number of the sections of public road closed for the Targa Tasmania held the following week. On alternate years to the Surrey Tas. trip there is usually an extended tour of Victoria over a week or so during the Easter break.
